Privacy: What This Site Measures

This site measures how people use it, so we can tell which pages answer a roofer’s question and which ones lose them. Here is exactly what that means, in the same plain language as the rest of the site.

What We Collect

Two Different Things, Kept Separate

What you deliberately send us, and how the site was used. They only ever get joined when you choose to send the first one.

What you send us Only what you type into a form and submit: your name, business name, phone, email, and the answers you gave a calculator. Nothing is sent until you press the button.
How the site was used Pages viewed and their order, links and buttons clicked, how far down a page you scrolled, roughly how long the page held your attention, which step of a calculator you reached, which form fields you entered and whether each was completed or left blank, how you left the page, and a redacted note when a script error occurs.
An identifier for your browser A random identifier is stored in your browser so repeat visits can be recognised as the same browser. It is not your name and it is not shared, but it is durable — so a visit is better described as pseudonymous than anonymous. Clearing your browser storage removes it.
Who else receives it Two systems: our own records, and GoHighLevel (operating as Momentum CRM, on the domain apiautomate.nowcerts.com), the customer-relationship system this agency runs on. Its tag is on every page of this site and records page views and form submissions. It is a service provider acting on our instructions — not an advertising network, and we do not sell or share your information.
Where you came from The referring site and any campaign tags on the link you followed (utm_source, gclid and similar), plus general device type and browser.

What we deliberately do not collect

We do not record keystrokes, and we do not record the contents of a form field you did not submit. If you type an email address and change your mind, that address is never transmitted — the site only notes that a field was filled in. Tick boxes are treated more carefully still: because ticking one is the answer, we record only that you reached it, never which way you answered. Script-error notes are stripped of anything that looks like an address or a number before they are sent. There is no session replay, no screen recording, and no advertising pixel on this site.

Why and How Long

What It Is Used For

One purpose: making the site better at answering the question you came with, and letting a licensed producer pick up where you left off.

  • If you submit a Rate Check or a quote request, how you used the site is attached to your record so the producer who calls you already knows what you were looking at.
  • If you do not submit anything, the usage record is never turned into a contact record and no one is contacted. It is still tied to the browser identifier above, so we describe it as pseudonymous rather than anonymous.
  • Detailed usage records are deleted after 180 days. Contact records you submitted are kept as business records.
  • We do not sell or share your personal information, and we honor a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser by not measuring your visit at all.

Your choices

California residents may ask what we hold about them, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it. Email robert@asternational.com or call 877-940-4313 and say what you want done. Turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser stops the measurement described above before it starts.
